Park Management Strategy for Nairobi Arboretum Conservancy

At SandRose we pride ourselves on our environmental consciousness and strive to be a company  that leads in the fight against the harmful impacts of a rapidly changing climate. With our main office in the heart of Nairobi and a growing interest in the sustainability of our city, we understand that urban trees are important public health infrastructure. Their ability to minimise urban heat islands, clean the air of harmful dust and particulate matter and improve general wellbeing of citizens means that their conservation is of vital importance. To this end, members of the SandRose team have been closely involved in developing a park management strategy for the Nairobi Arboretum and supporting the Nairobi Arboretum Conservancy Community Forest Association to manage this valuable asset in conjunction with the Kenya Forest Service, by offering our expertise in biodiversity, spatial planning and environmental and social impact assessment during various stakeholder engagement exercises held at the Nairobi Arboretum.
